Dog Friendly Downtown San Diego
One of the best things about cruising the San Diegoarea (in addition to grooming your amazing pets that is) is enjoying the incredibly pet friendly culture. And in case you haven’t made it downtown recently, there really are a lot of places you can enjoy with the companionship of your four footed friends.
San Diego Magazine gave Downtown San Diego two paws up and calls downtown the most dog-friendly neighborhood in the county, and it is not difficult to see why. Take your dog for a quick stroll and you’ll find street corners with DOGIPOT stations for dispensing biodegradable potty baggies as well as a bin for disposal. From doggie parks to plenty of pet stores, this neighborhood has it all.
Be sure to stop by San Diego Pet Supply, San Diego’s oldest and largest pet supply warehouse.
Downtown also has three dog parks nearby:
-
Nate’s Point Dog Park (2500 Balboa Dr, San Diego, CA 92101)
-
Grape Street Dog Park (Grape St & 28th St, San Diego, CA 92102)
-
Morley Field Dog Park (Alabama St. and Morley Field Dr, San Diego, CA 92104)
And if you get hungry after doing it all, don’t worry— outdoor restaurant patios hosting canine guests is not just common in the downtown area, it’s customary. Be sure to check out Pier Café where you and your dog can both enjoy the great view on the water.
So, once Awesome Doggies Mobile Pet Salon gets your canine cutie all spiffy clean, take a trip downtown and check out these pet friendly services and locations. Do you have a favorite place not listed? Please, do tell! We would love to add it to our list or pass along the information to our wonderful mobile pet grooming customers.
